School Registration Terms

1. Eligibility and Registration

By registering your school with the Wisdom Care Foundation (WCF) for the National Secondary School Mathematics Quiz (NSSMQ), you confirm that:

  • Your institution is a recognized secondary school operating within Nigeria
  • You are authorized to represent and register your school
  • All information provided is accurate, complete, and truthful
  • Your school has never been convicted of fraud or academic misconduct

2. School Representative Obligations

As a registered school representative, you commit to:

  • Ensuring students meet all eligibility requirements before registration
  • Communicating competition rules and deadlines to all participating students
  • Maintaining confidentiality of student participation IDs
  • Acting in good faith and preventing any form of cheating or fraud
  • Notifying WCF immediately of any suspicious activity

3. Student Participation

Schools acknowledge that students participating in the competition must be current students of the registered institution and in eligible classes (SS1, SS2, or SS3). Schools are responsible for verifying student eligibility and compliance with all competition rules.

4. Data Protection and Privacy

WCF commits to protecting all information provided during registration. Data will be used solely for:

  • Competition administration and student communication
  • Prize distribution and results publication
  • Statistical analysis and academic research (anonymized)
  • Marketing and promotional activities (if consent is given)

Schools consent to the collection and processing of information in accordance with applicable data protection laws and WCF's privacy policy.

5. Financial Terms

  • Each student's registration fee is non-refundable once payment is confirmed
  • Schools are not liable for student registration fees
  • Students pay directly through the secure payment portal
  • WCF reserves the right to adjust fees for future competitions

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All competition materials, questions, and results remain the exclusive property of WCF. Schools and students may not reproduce, distribute, or publish any competition materials without written permission from WCF.

7. Liability and Disclaimers

WCF shall not be liable for:

  • Technical failures or interruptions during the competition
  • Internet connectivity issues on the student's end
  • Loss of data or information due to circumstances beyond WCF's control
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Students participate at their own risk and assume full responsibility for maintaining a suitable technical environment for the quiz.

8. Anti-Cheat Policy

Schools understand and agree that the competition employs anti-cheat measures including tab-switching detection, violation monitoring, and disqualification protocols. Any student found engaging in cheating will be automatically disqualified, and the school may face sanctions.

9. Results and Leaderboard

By registering, schools consent to:

  • Publication of student results and rankings
  • Display of school name on leaderboards (unless opted out)
  • Public recognition of top-performing schools
  • Use of student scores in statistical reports (anonymized)

10. Amendments and Changes

WCF reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of amended terms. Schools will be notified of significant changes via email.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved through applicable Nigerian courts or alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
